嘉宾简介：
Lorne Cummings, PhD, FCPA, CA, CMA Professor of Accounting

Lorne is currently Associate Dean for Higher Degree Research (HDR) in the Faculty of Business and Economics, responsible for developing,
 documenting and implementing strategies to improve the Faculty’s higher degree research performance, profile and reputation. He is also responsible
 for advising on the overall profile of the Faculty HDR program and providing data, projections and forecasts to assess current and projected performance.
 Lorne supports and develops all aspects of HDR endeavor, and has 5 of his own students under supervision.
Lorne holds a PhD in management from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management, and is a Fellow Certified Practising Accountant (FCPA), 
a Chartered Accountant (CA), and a Certified Management Accountant. 
Lorne teaches in International and Financial Accounting and has researched across a wide spectrum of the financial accounting field. He has led a major
 grant on developing training materials on energy efficiency for accountants, funded by the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage ($240,000), and has also
 been involved in grants on assessing the draft Australian Water Accounting Standard for the Australian Bureau of Meteorology ($28,000) and not-for-profit sector accountability ($7,000).
He has published in leading International and Australian academic and professional journals including European Accounting Review (forthcoming), 
Financial Accountability and Management, Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal, The International Journal of Auditing, Accounting History, the 
Asian Review of Accounting and the Journal of Business Ethics. He is extensively involved in the development and delivery of professional development
 programs for CPA Australia and Chartered Secretaries Australia, and is a board member of Dunmore Lang College (affiliated with Macquarie University).
Lorne strongly believes in the need for academics to be able to impart the theories, concepts and research that they develop at University, with professional
 and industry bodies through training and technical development programmes, and also believes in developing links with other educational institutions in
 Australia and overseas.
